A continuum of support
Whether you’re brand new to schools or a seasoned school volunteer, we have mentoring to nurture you and your projects.
- Parent Leadership Corps – The “next step” for parent leaders looking to share ideas about their work and get ongoing, advanced training.
- Volunteer Mentorship Program – A pilot program debuting this year at two Seattle public schools, offering cohort recruitment, training and supported classroom volunteer experiences. We’re modeling it after the successful Parent Mentor Program pioneered by Chicago’s Logan Square Neighborhood Association.
I believe volunteer mentorship is a key stepping stone to engaging the full range of Seattle Public School parents, and to helping parents understand that they are welcome and important in the academic lives of their schools.”
– Stephanie Alter Jones, Ph.D., executive director, Community & Parents for Public Schools of Seattle
