Parent Leadership Corps

Parent Leadership Corps

The Corps are our “next step” for emerging parent leaders, where we fan the flames of ingenuity and give parents space and time to collaborate.

Many participants have graduated from our Leadership 101 training; others are just active parent leaders looking to connect, share ideas, and hone their skills.

The Corps also serves as the next step for graduates of Seattle Public Schools’ Family Connector program. That program is a 10-week series of classes developed by the school district to educate and inspire new parent leaders, many of who go on to participate in school Family Engagement Action Teams. CPPS of Seattle works with the district to give these parent leaders the ongoing support they need to be successful.

The Parent Leadership Corps meet monthly under the guidance of our program manager.

If you’d like to join, send an email to info@cppsofseattle.org. We’d love to have you.

Spirits (and the sun) were bright at our July 2014 Corps meeting.

We brainstormed project ideas while the kids played.
